Southampton based reseller IntoVision has been recognised for its outstanding commitment to customer service, playing a significant role in helping software house Access Accounting win a top industry award. Access Accounting was voted 'Financial Software Provider of the Year' by its customers at the recent Real FD/CBI FDs' Excellence Awards, held in London. The company beat off competition from 11 other providers including SAP, Microsoft, Sage, Exchequer and Pegasus.

Real FD, a leading magazine for the accounting industry, invited financial directors to rate their satisfaction with the quality of their core financials system and the level of support provided by the vendor. Access Accounting was praised by FDs for the software's ease of use and flexibility as well as the quality of the customer support delivered by its reseller partners. Larger clients highlighted the professionalism of the implementation process, with the publication proclaiming Access Accounting to be an all-round winner. The software house was also highly commended last year, when once again it was praised for its superior level of customer care.

John Beech, MD for Access Accounting commented, "We have a very strong network of reseller partners who share our vision to produce the software that every user will positively recommend. This award represents the voice of our customers and we thank IntoVision for their hard work and commitment to providing the best service possible, both in terms of support and software implementation. It's fantastic to see financial directors praising the quality of our partners so highly."

Peter Lingham, Managing Director for IntoVision, commented, "We're delighted to have been recognised for playing an important part in Access winning the award. We place great emphasis on supporting our customers throughout the whole software change process as well as providing aftercare for the lifetime of the system. It is hugely rewarding to receive recognition for this."

IntoVision has acquired BDO Stoy Hayward's business and accounting software division. BDO Stoy Hayward is the UK arm of BDO International, the world's fifth largest accountancy network with more than 600 offices in 100 countries. The software division implements leading mid-market business and accounting software solutions from Access Accounting.

Following discussions with entrepreneur and director of IntoVision, Peter Lingham, an amicable agreement was made to acquire the business.

Lingham commented, 'This is an excellent new challenge - having grown one Microsoft based software company in only seven years to become the leader in its field, I will apply the same passion for success here at IntoVision. I am a firm believer in the power of technology to help streamline business processes and improve competitiveness, which is something IntoVision can bring to its clients.

John Beech, MD for Access Accounting, commented, "We are excited that Peter has made this acquisition and look forward to working closely with him. Our first class product offering, together with the total dedication and professionalism of IntoVision, will offer a great partnership. We believe the new company will offer excellent growth opportunities for Access, Intovision and its customers.'

Prior to the acquisition, Lingham - a former accountant - was involved with another leading re-seller of Access Accounting solutions as operations director before setting up IntoVision. Now, Lingham and his team will implement a demanding growth strategy which will take the company to the next level, whilst ensuring that first class customer service is delivered at all times.
